Peanut butter banana smoothie

This is a simple yet perfectly balanced smoothie that I make when I have an excess of overly ripe bananas on my hands. You can play around with the quantities to reach your preferred consistency and sweetness.

Recipe inspired from Minimalist Baker.

  • Ingredients

    • 150g very ripe bananas, fresh or frozen
    • 200 mL plant-based milk (I use soy)
    • 40g smooth peanut butter
    • 30g oats
    • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 7g ground flaxseed
    • maple syrup to taste
  • Instructions

    1. Put everything together into a tall glass, or in a blender.
    2. Let it sit for a bit to let the oats soak in the liquid and become creamy.
    3. Blend it all, and adjust sweetness to your liking with maple syrup.
