Peanut butter banana smoothie
This is a simple yet perfectly balanced smoothie that I make when I have an excess of overly ripe bananas on my hands. You can play around with the quantities to reach your preferred consistency and sweetness.
Recipe inspired from Minimalist Baker.
Ingredients
- 150g very ripe bananas, fresh or frozen
- 200 mL plant-based milk (I use soy)
- 40g smooth peanut butter
- 30g oats
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 7g ground flaxseed
- maple syrup to taste
Instructions
- Put everything together into a tall glass, or in a blender.
- Let it sit for a bit to let the oats soak in the liquid and become creamy.
- Blend it all, and adjust sweetness to your liking with maple syrup.
