Seedy chocolate snack bar

These bars are so delicious! The secret: toast all the ingredients (oats, seeds & nuts) before mixing with a ton of good quality dark chocolate. The result is an irresistible treat that will satisfy all your cravings, whether it is in front of a movie, or after a good workout session.

Recipe inspired from Vegan Richa.

  • Ingredients

    • 80g oats
    • 20g protein powder
    • 25g cashews, coarsely chopped
    • 16g chia seeds
    • 20g sesame seeds
    • 30g pumpkin seeds
    • 30g walnuts or peacan nuts
    • 32g peanut butter
    • 6g coconut oil
    • 90g 70% dark chocolate
    • 90g 50% dark chocolate
  • Instructions

    1. Line a small square or rectangular dish with baking paper.
    2. Put vegan protein powder in a mixing bowl.
    3. In a pan, toast the oats for a minute or two, and transfer to a mixing bowl.
    4. In the same pan, toast the sesame seeds until golden and add to the bowl.
    5. In the same pan, toast the pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, cashews, walnuts/pecans until golden and add to the bowl.
    6. Add the protein powder to the mixing bowl.
    7. In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil and the peanut butter.Add to the mixing bowl with the dry ingredients, and mix well.
    8. Spread the mixture onto the baking paper, and even the level with a spatula.
    9. Refrigerate until set, and cut into bars of desired length.
    10. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge, and enjoy!
